![]() Lesson has been learned which is why I’ve been careful and haven’t even had that 12 volt power screw driver anywhere near my Neutrino Wand.Īs I’ve been putting together my Ghostbusters uniform during Septmeber 2013 and will wear the Ecto Goggles I decided to apply the decals. Instead of me some day possibly spending money on bits and tools I normally don’t need. I know its my fault, I’ve felt if Mattel didn’t put that one side screw inside that one “part” for the look, small power tool or not it’d be free. Friends and I’ve tried without the bits/tools, even tried the rubber band trick that kept coming up on-line. I don’t have the right tool or bit to deal with it. I was sure I stripped the screw and probably did. The last time I went to put the batteries in to film the animations again, I couldn’t remove the side screw. It’s usually easier for me and it hadn’t been a problem. When putting the 3 AAA batteries in (two on the bottom, one on the side) and removing them I had been using a 12 volt power screw driver. I thought I commented about this on the site, (might have been during the transition) of course I can’t find it now. Within a few days, then about a month later things changed with my pair of Matty Ecto Goggles. When I gave my first impression about Matty Collector’s Ecto Goggles on AugI figured that’s the last I would have wrote about them. Ecto-Goggles And Ecto-Popper (PDF file). As they were from photos, the multi-language customer service page wasn’t as clear as the “instructions.” I used one of Kenner US versions for the 2 page PDF file. As I’ve waited 4 + years for Kenner Ecto-Googles instructions I’m appreciative of Nikos sharing the instructions. The back page is Kenner really caring in multiple languages. Was Kenner trying to save some money on printing costs in Europe? The French version barely qualifies as instruction. A multi-page booklet detailing both the goggles and popper. Ghosthead Nikos Milonas from Greece shared the one page, (front and back) “instructions” from his collection.įrom my memory, the US instructions were much closer to how say ECTO-1 instructions were. I recently asked on the Ghostbusters Collectors Facebook group about these instructions. If you have a US or English version of Kenner The Real Ghostbusters Ecto-Goggles & Ecto-Popper instructions that can be scanned to share, please leave a comment or email me at spengs ecto-containment dot com. While four years later I haven’t found or been contacted about the original US instructions, we’re all a little closer to some kind of instructions. Number 1 on the list, Kenner Ecto-Goggles & Ecto-Popper instructions. I’ve been looking for Kenner Instructions I didn’t have (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, June 6, 2013) since at least 2013. The obvious “no ghost” logo hurts the realism of being a Ghostbuster. I do like that ghost hunters, (really Spirit Halloween) have an included holster. Also, like a pull string toy from childhood, the lines may get old quick without the rest of Ghostbusters. Depending on the volume, I feel at a con for example one may not hear the quotes. That’s right, as an officially licensed product, it has 5 lines of dialogue from the only time in Ghostbusters when Peter and Ray (later a bit of Egon) talked over their walkie talkies. If you’re putting together a costume…uh uniform and want to duplicate the look and a favorite scene from Ghostbusters, it’s great Spirit Halloween basically made a walkie talkie…with a sound chip. The real deal can be expensive and believe it or not may still work with emergency personnel today. It’s basically an 80s style Motorola walkie talkie replica. Opinion: This is an interesting Ghostbusters accessory. Note: This is a prop and not a functioning walkie talkie.“Venkman! I saw it! I saw it! I saw it!”.Grab one for you and all your friends and start feeling like real ghost hunters. See something strange in the neighborhood? Now you’ll know who to call with this Ghostbusters Walkie Talkie. ![]() Should the time come and it makes “good financial sense,” whether it’s from Spirit Halloween or elsewhere I’d like to own similar items again. I use to own Matty Collector Prop Toys and still own a 19 year old Proton Pack replica. This is that post.įull disclosure I don’t own any of Spirit Halloween’s Ghostbusters items. (Ecto-Containment Blog Post, August 19, 2019) The post was long and I didn’t have the time before work to talk about Spirit Halloween other Ghostbusters merchandise. Yesterday I had some opinions about Spirit Halloween new Ghostbusters costumes.
